Welcome to our Canary Islands / Madrid Spain vacation page [13.Sep.2004 thru 23.Sep.2004].
This paradisiac group of islands, with a preferred climate (constant temperature throughout the year), and splendid beaches of fine sand, consists of 7 larger islands (Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma, Gomera, Hierro) and a few smaller ones. Surprisingly, the landscape of each island is radically different to the others.
Due to the islands geographical location, some 4º from the tropic of cancer and very close to the African coast, the islands' climate is subtropical. At Canary Islands there is eternal springtime. Temperatures between the seasons vary only some 10º F, the monthly average temperatures are 75ºF. Ideal bathing conditions through all the year.
Before you enter, note that day 6 we left the digital camera in a taxi. I am sure the taxi would have returned it if he knew which person left it. Needless to say that we lost many great shots, so what pictures we have left were shot with a disposable camera.
